Why better project settings matter more than harder bargaining

Most construction disputes don't start with a notice of dispute. They start much earlier, with the settings a project is given at the outset.

I recently sat down with host Jennifer Raphael on Building Tomorrow, the Society of Construction Law Australia podcast, to talk about:

  • why better project outcomes come from better project settings rather than harder bargaining,

  • the value that a good lawyer can bring to a project when involved early in the decision-making processes,

  • how dispute avoidance boards keep issues from escalating, and

  • where I think Australia's standard form contracts need to go next.

You can listen to my conversation with Jennifer via SoCLA's website or wherever you get your podcasts.

Allow 39 minutes.
